We’re looking for Gig Workers!
Sense & Sound LLC is a studio design and installation company based in Los Angeles. We design, manufacture, install, and calibrate audio studios for the professional and private market.
Manufacturing Position
We’re looking to fill manufacturing positions at our workshop. We manufacture proprietary acoustic products, & installation hardware. Candidates should be good with working with their hands, be detail oriented, work well with a team, and be able to occasionally lift 50lbs.
You’ll be tasked with assisting in cutting of parts using a knife, using cordless drills, pneumatic fabric staplers, palm sanders, and final assembly and moving of manufactured products to stock. This will at first be a as needed gig type of work. Ideally we will train you during one of our assembly work days, this will continue and the position will lead to part time & full time with the growth of the business. You’ll be working with materials such as plywood, luan, pegboard, soundboard, fiberglass, velcro, wood glue and spray glue.

Requirements
Attention to detail
Professionalism, strong communication skills and accountability
Ability to understand, read, and speak English
Ability to understand simple plans and diagrams
Ability to lift 50+ lbs
Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods of time
Ability to do simple math
Ability to read a tape measure in inches
Experience working with carpentry power tools
Woodwork is a plus
Desire to learn higher woodworking skills is a plus
Ability to be on time and ready to work every day
Someone who takes pride in their work
Compensation
Positions will be paid hourly. Initial pay will depend on your starting skills. Generally this would start at $17.50hr and will progress to $20hr when proficiency and efficiency has been demonstrated. Pay may rise with increased value / responsibilities efficiency and independence, and you prove as a valuable asset to the team. The position will ideally progress to part time / full time, with the company’s growth.
